This US Coast Guard Tig Welding Project was done on the USCGC Cheyenne Vessel. When we received the call on this project, we were excited to take it. We welcome jobs that seem difficult or impossible to other welders. We look for ways to provide a solution. We were presented with wire that needed to be run to the pilot house. After looking over the area and assessing our options we determined the best solution for them was to use tubing for the wire to protect it. We welded a piece of aluminum tubing to the top of the pilot house so they could run their radar antennas and wiring through the roof of the pilot house. This was a portable TIG welding job done on the location at the Coast Guard base in St Louis. Portable Welding Projects do not scare us.
